COMMISSIONING ENGINEER

energy and facility solutions to optimize facility performance and reduce operating costs. Our services include energy
audits and energy project development services, retro-commissioning, mechanical engineering design services, turn-key
energy project management and construction management services.
We are seeking a qualified individual for an exceptional opportunity as a Commissioning Engineer working in the
Baltimore/Washington DC area. The qualified candidate should possess the following knowledge/skills/experience and
must be available for some travel in support of commissioning projects (most work is located in the Balt/Wash DC area):
- Equipment testing experience in a Commercial Facility Environment
- Field experience in DDC control systems, data loggers, and related system testing equipment.
- Ability to read, and interpret associated TAB reports.
- Basic knowledge of MEP systems design for various projects.
- Ability to conduct field visits and write field observation reports.
- Ability to write technical reports; able to perform construction administration tasks.
Responsibilities to Include:
- Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to
mechanical HVAC commissioning for new construction and renovation projects.
- Write and administer Commissioning Plans.
- Develop and administer prefunctional and functional tests for various building MEP systems, such as: HVAC air
and water distribution systems, air handling units, pumps, chillers, boilers and control systems.
- Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects.
- Perform scheduled walkthroughs of construction sites.
- Assist with field troubleshooting of Cx equipment and assist with the coordination of contractor Cx activities.
- Schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings.
- Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors and owners agents.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor Degree from accredited university with engineering discipline or field experience working with
Commercial Facility MEP Systems and DDC Controls.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus. Experience with DDC control system start-up, testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
- LEED commissioning experience including ASHRAE and/or Cx and Retro-Cx procedures and protocols is a plus.
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; MS Word; MS Project a plus.
