| ENERGY ENGINEER Job Details: Global Facility Solutions is a Maryland based business operating nationwide. We provide our customers with objective energy and facility solutions to optimize facility performance, reduce operating costs and deal with the issues that plague building owners and operators every day. Our energy and engineering expertise is built on 21 years of industry experience. Our services include energy audits and energy project development services, retro-commissioning, mechanical engineering design services, turn-key energy project management and construction management services. The qualified candidate should be familiar with evaluating facilities and possess the ability to identify building operational issues and energy saving opportunities. The candidate should possess: - Experience in performing and documenting Energy Audits for commercial, institutional, state and local government and federal government clients. - Analytical skills to assess problems and situations within buildings including energy saving opportunities, develop recommendations and solutions including cost and savings analysis. - Knowledge and experience evaluating mechanical systems such as HVAC, motors, distribution systems, central plants and control systems. - Knowledge of HVAC equipment such as chillers, air handlers and chilled/heating water distribution networks. - Experience working with energy savings calculations such as bin data analysis. - Experience working with installation subcontractors and equipment vendors. - Demonstrated ability to be a self-leader and work independently without constant direction. Requirements Include: - BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in energy engineering, energy project development - Proficiency in MS Office software products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) - PE registration or the ability to obtain a PE - Excellent written and verbal communications skills and comfortable communicating with clients - Certified Energy Manager and/or LEED AP certification a plus. - U.S. Citizenship Required.
