HVAC DESIGN ENGINEER / P.E.

We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer proficient in the design and engineering of commercial HVAC
Systems. The qualified candidate should be well versed in the design and engineering of commercial building HVAC
systems and should be familiar with evaluating facilities and possess the ability to identify building operational issues.

We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer proficient in the design and engineering of commercial HVAC
Systems. The qualified candidate should be well versed in the design and engineering of commercial building HVAC
systems and should be familiar with evaluating facilities and possess the ability to identify building operational issues.
The candidate should possess:
- Experience with the design and engineering of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for the commercial,
governmental, industrial markets including laboratory spaces, healthcare, educational and general office building
markets.
- Experience with performing cooling and heating load calculations using Trane Trace 700 including building
simulations.
- Knowledge and experience evaluating mechanical systems such as HVAC, motors, distribution systems, central
plants and control systems. Knowledge of HVAC equipment such as chillers, air handlers and chilled/heating
water distribution networks. Experienced with the design of refrigeration systems, fan and exhaust systems, air
distribution, piping networks and control systems.
- Experience with and ability to develop design drawings from concept through construction documentation using
AutoCad. Ability to develop project specifications.
- Experience working with existing building renovations and HVAC system renovations design.
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-leader and work independently without constant direction.
Requirements Include:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience
- Proficiency in MS Office software products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access), AutoCad by Autodesk, Trane Trace
700 Software - PE registration or the ability to obtain a PE
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and comfortable communicating directly with clients
- Candidate may be based in Maryland, DC or Virginia.
- Some travel is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
